Rising Sun Energy Center is hiring individuals between the ages of 15 and 22 for the Energy Specialist position with their summer job program, California Youth Energy Services (CYES). On the job, pairs of Energy Specialists will visit homes in their community by appointment to help save water and energy. Energy Specialists are responsible for delivering these “Green House Calls” and completing various administrative/office tasks related to the delivery of the service. Green House Calls consist of:
- A basic energy and water use assessment
- Installation of energy- and water-saving devices
- Tips and education on saving energy and water
AS AN ENERGY SPECIALIST, YOU MUST BE:
- Able to work the full 7 weeks (June 22 - August 10, 2018)
- Able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude, including adhering to Rising Sun’s dress code
- An effective communicator with strong presentation skills and/or have a desire to learn these skills
- If applying for a driving position: must be 18-22 years old, must have proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and must have everyday use of a car
