On Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 Zero Waste Youth USA is hosting their 6th Annual Zero Waste Youth Convergence with the theme of Resilient Communities Fight Back: Equity in Zero Waste at City College of San Francisco, Ocean Campus. Learn from professionals and activists who are making strides towards protecting and raising the voices of communities that have been damaged by the unjust dumping of toxic and hazardous waste. 

DAY 1:

WHAT: “Local Connections”

Network, brainstorm, and workshop ideas for a more sustainable zero waste future with your peers outdoors in the community, then take action with a hands-on community litter clean-up.

 

DAY 2:

WHEN: Sunday, March 18, 2018 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: City College of San Francisco, Ocean Campus (50 Phelan Ave, San Francisco)

WHAT: “Resilient Communities Fight Back: Equity in Zero Waste”

Hear from inspiring young professionals and community leaders on critical zero waste issues and solutions. Topics include:

  • Where Waste is Placed
  • The National Sword
  • Interactive Workshops
  • Student Work Showcase
  • And many more!

*Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided!*

Please BYOE- Bring Your Own Essentials: reusable cup, plate/bowl, utensils, and handkerchief - our goal is to have a true Zero Waste event!
